Texas Yellow Cap Isolated Spores
Texas Yellow Cap is a Psilocybe cubensis strain with wild origins in the Gulf Coast region of Texas, where it was first documented in open pastureland. The strain is named for its distinctive golden-yellow pileus coloration, which ranges from bright yellow at the margin to deeper caramel at the center, paired with a slender, pale stipe. For taxonomists studying regional variation within the cubensis species, Texas Yellow Cap offers a wild-type American specimen with a clearly defined geographic origin.
Each 10cc spore syringe is prepared in a controlled cleanroom environment under strict contamination protocols, protecting the integrity of the single-genotype isolate throughout the preparation process. Spores are suspended in a sterile aqueous solution formulated for clarity, minimizing background particulates so researchers can clearly observe basidiospore structure without visual interference.
Texas Yellow Cap genetics are entirely natural and selectively isolated — never genetically modified, preserving an authentic wild-type specimen for comparative research into regional cubensis variation. Each syringe includes a 1.5" 20-gauge sterile dispensing needle for precise, contamination-free application during slide preparation. When stored refrigerated at 2–8°C (35–46°F), the syringe retains spore viability for up to 12 months.
