Stargazer Spore Print
Stargazer's Andean origin is reflected directly in its basidiospore morphology: ellipsoid, smooth, and symmetrical spores measuring approximately 12–13 µm × 8 µm, with deep chocolate to purple-brown pigmentation and strong visual contrast that makes them among the most precisely characterized high-altitude cubensis specimens available for microscopy study.
That visual character is part of what has made Stargazer a celebrated research specimen. Its combination of exact spore geometry, vivid pigmentation depth, and symmetric structure renders exceptionally well under both brightfield and DIC microscopy illumination — making it a preferred strain for microscopy photography, educational display work, and comparative taxonomy study alongside tropical and coastal cubensis varieties. For researchers interested in how altitude, volcanic substrate, and mountain climate influence basidiospore wall thickness, pigmentation, and morphological symmetry within Psilocybe cubensis, Stargazer provides a well-documented Andean data point that no lowland strain can replicate.
Refrigeration at 2–8°C is recommended for optimal longevity. We ship to researchers across the United States, excluding California, Idaho, and Georgia. All products are sold strictly for microscopy and taxonomy research purposes only.
